Traffic Order (Amendment No. 9) Traffic Order (Amendment No. 9)

London Councils has now updated the Traffic Management Order that governs the London Lorry Control Scheme. As well as updating the Excluded Route Network, the amendment removes the requirement for vehicles to display permits when they are using the restricted roads.

Vehicles will still need to be exempted, and London Councils will be issuing permissions in the form of Schedule letters. Hauliers will need to retain these Schedules as proof that their vehicle has been granted permission to use the restricted roads during prescribed hours. However there is no need for the actual vehicles to display them.

These changes took effect as of 1 January 2010 - any enquiries should be made to the Lorry Control Team as detailed below.

London Council Contact Details

London Councils employ a team of officers to enforce the scheme and they deal with about 3,000 contraventions per year.
