Apply for a Permit

During the restricted times, hauliers need special permits to be allowed to use their lorries on all but a very limited number of roads on a regulated basis.

Permits are issued by London Councils who manage the scheme.

Register online directly using this website (fees apply) or by post/fax:

Online Registration:

1. For Permit registration click through to London Lorry Route Approver
2. Sign up with the Online Forms
3. The cost to use the service for Permits and unlimited route submission to London Councils is from £2 per vehicle per month
4. All permits will be approved directly by London Councils
5. All routes are automatically & instantly compliant and approved

Fax or Postal Registration:

1. Print off a copy of the application form
2. Complete it and fax back to 020 7934 9591.
3. Duration to process ranges between 7 to 28 days.

Drivers and operators of vehicles who do not have a permit, or who are not complying with the permit conditions, may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
