Online Routing Tool Update - August 2010!!

Thank you for all those who have registered and I am keen to provide another update as more time has elapsed since my last. Our aim was to launch in Q1, but due to the changes and some development challenges it was not possible to deliver the desired solution – As Head of Product Development at PIE it is important to me that we deliver quality and functional products to our users and therefore made the decision to delay the launch until we achieved the satisfactory result.

We are in the final stages of in-house testing and whilst the development has taken longer than we anticipated, we are not too far away in allowing some of our registered users to start testing the system. Once this has been conducted we shall allow all registered users to use the system as a pilot scheme.

If you have not registered yet, then please Click Here if you wish to do so.

Online Routing Tool Update - January 2010!!

For those of you who have contacted us and for those of you who have been waiting patiently it is clear to see that we have not managed to deliver the tool for July 2009 as stated on our website, but for good reason. From the period July 2009 to December 2009 we have reviewed the online routing tool and have decided to delay the launch of this till Q1 of 2010 as there are some significant alterations that are pending with London Councils.

On the 20th November 2009 the London Councils Transport and Environment Committee published to the public some proposed amendments of the London Night Lorry Control Scheme and we wish to incorporate these amendments in line with our online route approval tool.

We will provide the list of proposed amendments on our website, therefore please Click Here for further details.

We hope you may understand the reasons behind the delay as such amendments could have a large impact or consequence in your business’s route planning. We have also undertaken the project of the reviewing the current London Lorry Guide to ensure that the new 2nd Edition publication is also available to companies for their drivers in line with the amendments proposed by London Councils.

So what happens next? During December 2009 and January 2010 we shall be in position to have the amendments confirmed by London Councils. Then during January and February the PIE teams will be working round the clock to launch the online route approval tool and to get the 2nd Edition publication to the Publishers. As these two projects progress we shall ensure that the London Lorry Control website is updated with the progress. If you have any further queries then please do not hesitate to contact us at info@thepieguide.com, or if you prefer you may call us on 0207 952 0450.
